Just because you’re outdoors and around nature doesn’t mean your choice of camping food need not be primitive in detail. Because of the limitations in your coolers or backpacks or even travel trailer how you prepare your foods may be limited. But this doesn’t mean that you can’t have a variety of good food on hand to fight the hungries that come along with outside adventure. If you’re not camping during cold weather a rule of thumb is to bring along any kinds of food that doesn’t have to be refrigerated. As you don’t have to worry about them going bad and so forth as they are considered to be perishables.
Traveling with just the bare necessities may be a good idea as you won’t have much trouble packing and unpacking your camping supplies, and also not have too many items to carry or clean up. Of course, if you are using a camping trailer you will have many more options though the emphasis should be on being practical about your camping supplies. And if you are backpacking into the campground it is essential that you carry as little as possible without forgetting any essential supplies. Your camping supplies must include a first aid kit which should contain a number of bandages of varying sizes, tweezers, a pair of scissors and even needles and thread. Other items you should include are tensor bandages, antibacterial lotions and gauze as well as anti-itch creams. Use a first aid kit that is easy to pack and still contains all the necessary items.
