Camping Cooking Gear | Hawaii Hiking

When camping, you will need to bring along extra matches, who should be waterproof if possible and you could also do with a grate. In addition, your camping cooking gear must include essential items such as dishpans, washrags, towels as well as soaps and these can be carried in a plastic container. Since you don’t want to carry too much weight, it is a good idea to pack only limited amounts of cooking supplies, and these may include instant soups and remember to take along foods that (if you are in a group) everyone would like. You should also include aluminum foil to wrap your potatoes, onions, carrots and butter and you should remember to seal the food packets well. You would also be well advised to bring along a hand crank can opener and have adequate sponges for washing pots and dishes. Sometimes, you may want a Coffee Percolator that can be used with a camp stove or on a fire to brew fresh coffee which is always a welcome item, and you should ensure that the pot size is large enough to cater to many drinkers.

Kauai is the oldest main island of Hawaii, and it shows in the island’s beautiful canyons. Sometimes called the Garden Isle, Kauai is home to the wettest place on earth; Mount Wai‘ale‘ale. This place receives over forty feet of rain every year. The island of Kauai is a beautiful island known for its wonderful variety of scenery and of Kauai hiking trails. In Kauai there is truly something for everyone. Whether a beginner, or an experienced hiker, there will be trails that can challenge any ability.
