When camping, you will need to bring along extra matches, who should be waterproof if possible and you could also do with a grate. In addition, your camping cooking gear must include essential items such as dishpans, washrags, towels as well as soaps and these can be carried in a plastic container. Since you don’t want to carry too much weight, it is a good idea to pack only limited amounts of cooking supplies, and these may include instant soups and remember to take along foods that (if you are in a group) everyone would like. You should also include aluminum foil to wrap your potatoes, onions, carrots and butter and you should remember to seal the food packets well. You would also be well advised to bring along a hand crank can opener and have adequate sponges for washing pots and dishes. Sometimes, you may want a Coffee Percolator that can be used with a camp stove or on a fire to brew fresh coffee which is always a welcome item, and you should ensure that the pot size is large enough to cater to many drinkers.

Camping can be a great activity, allowing you to get away from the noise of urban living and spend some time enjoying the beauty of nature while you’re roughing it. However, if planned out badly, a camping trip can leave you sour on the whole idea of spending time outdoors. And the secret to planning a good camping trip is making sure you’ve brought along great camping gear to keep you comfortable while in camp. Great camping gear is more a matter of purchasing gear that is appropriate for the time of year you’re camping, who you’re bringing along, and what other equipment you’ll be using. As long as you keep that in mind, you should be able to select the right gear.
