Often times, campers may need to make choices regarding different items of equipment and gear, and so you will need to weigh the pros and cons of each item on your camping checklist and make informed decisions about the usefulness of each. You may need to choose between takings along a tent or opt instead to stay in a shelter. Shelters will let in the cold and so a tent may be more suitable as it offers more protection from the weather, and use of tarp is especially recommended to keep out rain. You should also include in your camping checklist use of ground cloth such as tarps or plastic that can keep the moisture from affecting you while you sleep on the ground. Another most essential item you must tick off on your camping checklist is the sleeping bag. Be sure to choose one that is properly rated for weather conditions that you are going to encounter on your camping trip. Obviously, it won’t make any sense to take a sleeping bag meant for extremely cold weather when taking a summer camping trip and vice versa.
If you are going tent camping then you will want all the basics and even some added camping accessories. You will want a stove and some cookware, sleeping bags and air mattresses, lanterns and a screen tent along with whatever else you might think of for camping outdoors. If you have a site with electricity, you might even bring along the television and microwave. The screen tent can be used as a kitchen and sitting area. This makes it nice to put the microwave and the television and if you have one with privacy flaps, you can prevent anyone from seeing inside. This could be placed right outside your sleeping quarters, which makes it nicer in the morning.
