California Camping | Camping Showers

In California the Angel Island Park is situated in close proximity to San Francisco Bay and this site can be reached by ferry boat where you get to see outstanding skylines and the quiet of the area certainly enhances the camping experience, and the view of the Golden Gate Bridge is splendid, if nothing else. However, campsites are limited though you can take to the trails and take a general tour of the island where you will also find bike rental shops and a few more retail outlets as well.
With just a few materials, you can make your own camping shower that works great and is easy to bring along with you on your camping trip. It’s a great way to get friends or family members to camp with you when they normally wouldn’t, and the materials can be so little that you can even dispose of the camping shower when you’re finished using it. An option for making your own camping shower is to simply get a tarp to work with. Getting some easy to bend wire and making a large circle with it, connect one end of the tarp around the circle to make a shower curtain. Once that’s done, use a tall plastic tubing to hold it standing up in the air so you’d be able to stand inside of the tarp while it hangs all around you. To get the water flowing, use a part of a hose, cut to fit the length of the shower curtain from top to ground. Using a bucket full of water, put one end of the hose in the bucket, with the other end connected to the top of the shower but leaving some of it to hang towards the ground inside the shower curtain. Simply give the hose a quick suck, and the water should be flowing! Now you have yourself a homemade camping shower that can be used over and over again, or you can come up with a simple model that is easily thrown away after use on a camping trip.
