Arkansas Camping | Boulder Hiking

January 3rd, 2008 | Rod | Camping

A great site for camping in the United States is at Petit Jean State Park that lies close to Little Rock, Arkansas which is ideally suited for a holiday having more than one hundred twenty campsites and more than thirty cabins. You can also try out swimming and picnic areas and there are also many wonderful trails for walking and even viewing the excellent waterfalls at Cedar falls.

There are more than one hundred Boulder hiking trails, including the Arapahoe Glacier Trail that is a 15.6 mile roundtrip. This makes it the perfect route for the intermediate hiker and will take a day to complete. There is also the Arapahoe Lakes Trail, which takes the hiker into dense sub-alpine forests with creeks that taper into a few dozen lakes. It will take seven miles for the roundtrip excursion, which takes less than five hours to complete. All in all, it is not without good reason that Boulder hiking is considered one of the first choices for hiking in the country.
